After receiving my Bachelor's in Elementary Education with a Math emphasis, I was eager to share my love of Math and Science with my first class of fourth graders. To my dismay, most of the students in my class were well-below grade level for reading ability and at risk for lifelong illiteracy. That experience became the foundation for my devotion to reading instruction. I earned a Masters of Literacy Education in 2020.
