With 14 years of classroom teaching experience, I am a licensed Learning and Behavior Specialist in Illinois who has worked with students in grades 2–8 in reading, writing, and mathematics. I hold a Master’s degree in Literacy Education as well as a Reading Specialist Certification, and I am passionate about helping students become confident, capable learners. I have received specialized training in both the SLANT system (since 2017) and the Wilson Reading System (since 2019), allowing me to provide structured, research-based support for students with reading challenges, including Dyslexia. Since 2020, I have worked with students with Dyslexia through both in-person and virtual tutoring, tailoring instruction to each child’s individual strengths and needs. I believe that strong relationships, patience, and individualized instruction are key to helping students grow academically and build confidence. I work closely with families to create tutoring arrangements that best fit each student’s goals and schedule. During the school year, availability is generally limited to evenings and weekends, while summer months offer greater flexibility with daytime sessions.
